Derek Carr exchanges pleasantries with Seattle heckler

Following a 40-34 overtime victory over the Seahawks (6-5) on Sunday, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr thanked a Seattle fan who held a sign that read: "3-7 NOT BAD FOR A TEAM WITH NO TALENT."

"Congratulations, you single-handedly won this game tonight," Carr told the fan, shaking his hand after the victory. The only comeback the fan had was "good to see you."

The episode was posted to the NFL's Twitter page.

The trash-talking sign motivated the Raiders (4-7), who secured their second consecutive walk-off overtime victory thanks to a Josh Jacobs' 86-yard touchdown run.

Despite suffering an abdomen injury in the first quarter, Carr persevered through pain and played well. He went 25-for-36, passing for three touchdowns.

The performance was a confidence booster for Carr, who fought tears two weeks earlier after an upset loss to the Colts

"It reaffirms the things we've been talking about," Carr said in a postgame news conference. "It reaffirms the things that (head coach) Josh McDaniels has been talking about."

Perhaps the moment with the sign is a turning point for the Raiders, who may not be as talentless as that fan thinks.
