Deshaun Watson won't play another down for Texans?

Last week, Houston Texans wide receiver Anthony Miller said that "the show must go on" as it pertains to the club's quarterback situation. Star signal-caller Deshaun Watson wishes to be traded, as the matter is further complicated by him facing 22 lawsuits alleging acts of sexual assault and misconduct and 10 criminal complaints.

Watson returned to practice for the first time in a week from reported ankle and calf injuries, but John McClain of the Houston Chronicle tweeted on Monday that the 25-year-old is done playing for his current employer:

The Texans reportedly want multiple first-round draft picks and also players in a trade for their top asset, and the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins are clubs that have been linked with Watson in trade rumors. However, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports Watson’s camp is preparing for "inevitable" grand jury proceedings, and it's essentially guaranteed Watson will end up on the commissioner's exempt list for at least a portion of the upcoming season if he's indicted on even one charge.

Regardless of if or when Watson is cleared to participate in regular-season and playoff games, it seems his Houston career is in his past.
