Dolphins' DeVante Parker reaggravated hamstring injury vs. Patriots

The Miami Dolphins didn't get out to a good start this season with a 21-11 Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots. To make matters worse, Miami's top wide receiver, DeVante Parker, reaggravated a left hamstring injury during the game.

Parker exited Sunday's game early in the second half and finished with just four catches for 47 yards. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said he didn't have an update on the 27-year-old, but the team plans to evaluate him on Monday.

Parker has missed much of the past two-and-a-half weeks with the hamstring injury. He returned to practice during the week in preparation for Week 1, but was limited.

Last season, Parker finished fifth in the NFL with 1,202 receiving yards in his first 16-game NFL season. He managed to stay healthy throughout the season and is hoping he can do so again this year after previously never playing a full campaign.

If the Louisville product misses any time for Miami, the team will have to rely on Preston Williams and Jakeem Grant. Malcolm Perry and Lynn Bowden, who both are rookies, might also be called upon to play a larger role in the Dolphins offense if necessary.
