Dolphins place leading receiver Jaylen Waddle on reserve/COVID-19 list

The Miami Dolphins are among a host of NFL teams currently facing a possible COVID-19 outbreak within their locker room. On Thursday afternoon, they were dealt perhaps their most devastating blow yet.

The Waddle news came minutes after Wolfe had reported that the Fins were "voluntarily moving" to enhanced COVID-19 protocols as a precaution. Wolfe further reported the team's scheduled walkthrough on Thursday would still go on, but all meetings would be conducted via Zoom.

The rookie wide receiver joins a long list of Miami players already in the protocol.

Through 13 games, Waddle leads the team in targets (114), receptions (86) and receiving yards (849), and is in a three-way tie for the most touchdowns on the squad with four.

The NFL announced that they had recorded 37 positive COVID-19 tests on Monday, with Tuesday's figures upping the total on the week to 75.
