The Philadelphia Eagles have made a fantastic signing this offseason. From their divisional rivals, the New York Giants, the team managed to trade running back Saquon Barkley . There is hardly a doubt that the running back will add certain value to the squad.

The Philadelphia Eagles have mostly relied on quarterback Jalen Hurts ‘ tush-push play. Hurts’ passing game was criticized for a long time by the analysts. However, they were left astonished by Jalen Hurts’ rushing ability. Over the years, Hurts has established himself as one of the most prominent pass rushers.

Now, with the inclusion of Saquon Barkley in the squad, it is expected that the player will take some pressure away from the Eagles quarterback.

Nick Sirianni, in his latest interview with NFL Network Insider Tom Pellissiro, expressed his thoughts on the running back. As per the Eagles HC himself, Saquon is a dynamic footballer with great leadership qualities.

I'm really excited about Saquon and the things that he can do. You know he's such a dynamic football player. Both as a running back and also the things he can do as a pass catcher. He's going to bring an element to our offense and to our team. Sirianni said while speaking with NFL Network Insider

As much as we see him, all the highlights that we see on the tape — from my understanding and all of our homework he’s a good leader and teammate, as well. To be able to add that into our locker room, and not only the playmaking ability, but the person, is really important.

The Eagles will work to remove defensive problems

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered massively due to their defensive problems last season. They lost a lot of regular-season games and even had an early exit in the playoffs. The defensive blunders played a major role in the failure of the team.

To curb that, the Philadelphia Eagles have taken some necessary steps. This offseason, they signed DT P.J. Mustipher and DB Tyler Hall.

In addition, the team included ILB Owen Burks and LB Devin White. After the demotion of Sean Desai , the team will have a fresh start under the guidance of the new DC, Vic Fangio. Fangio will have time to train these new signings.

With the new defensive signings, the team will have a fresh journey in the coming season. It is to be seen whether they manage to have a great defensive performance in the coming season.
