The Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 Week 1 opponent for their international matchup has been revealed.

The NFL announced Wednesday that the Green Bay Packers is the team that faces the Birds on September 6 in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Packers will act as the away team vs. the Eagles.

The NFL's first-ever game in South America will be played at Neo Quimica Arena, in São Paulo. The stadium is home to Brazilian soccer club Corinthians and holds over 49,205 spectators, which will likely feature more Packers fans than Eagles.

Green Bay has the largest NFL fan base in Brazil, according to a chart from A to Z Sports' Wendell Ferreira.

12.25 percent of Packers fans make up the NFL fan base in Brazil while just 4.76 percent are Eagles fans.

That's going to be tough to compete with, though Philly has one of the best traveling fan bases in the United States, so let's hope they can replicate that internationally.

Since this game is considered a home game for the Birds it means they will no longer host the Packers in Philadelphia this fall.

Regardless of the potential disadvantages for the Eagles, it's going to be a fun quarterback matchup featuring Jalen Hurts vs. Jordan Love to kick off the 2024 NFL season.
