Eagles Pro Bowl LB responds to report of trade request

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Haason Reddick posted to social media on Tuesday, denying recent reports that he made a trade request.

As Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz noted, the 29-year-old defender grew up near the City of Brotherly Love and played at Temple University.

Reddick was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and spent the first four seasons of his career in the desert. He played the 2021 campaign with the Carolina Panthers and signed a three-year deal with the Eagles in March 2022.

Reddick had the best season of his career in 2022, posting a league-leading five forced fumbles as well as a career-high 16.0 sacks (second-most in the NFL) and a career-high 26 quarterback hits. Reddick added 11 tackles for a loss, three passes defended and three fumble recoveries as well, earning his first Pro Bowl nod and second-team All-Pro honor while finishing fourth in the AP Defensive Player of the Year voting.

The former Owl had another big season in 2023, pacing Philadelphia in sacks (11.0) and tackles for a loss (13), while tying for the team lead in quarterback hits (23) as well. Reddick was named a Pro Bowler for the second consecutive year this winter.
