Eagles WR A.J. Brown gets surprise a day after epic performance

Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown posted on Twitter Monday morning that he had been drug tested by the NFL. The tests are randomly conducted by the league, but Brown's came after an insane six-catch, 156-yard, three-touchdown performance during the Eagles' win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Brown hauled in his first touchdown catch on a 39-yard heave from quarterback Jalen Hurts with 9:34 left in the first quarter, despite being draped in double coverage. The 2020 Pro Bowl wideout's second and third scores both came in the second quarter from 27 and 29 yards out.

In his fourth NFL season, Brown was acquired by Philadelphia in a trade with the Tennessee Titans on the first night of the NFL Draft in April, in exchange for the 18th overall pick (wide receiver Treylon Burks) and a third-round selection (which was subsequently traded). Brown has performed as advertised thus far with the Eagles, as he leads the team in targets (64), receptions (39), receiving yards (659) and receiving touchdowns (five).

The 25-year-old's effort against the Steelers resulted in some Philadelphia franchise history as well.
