Eagles WR DeVonta Smith is putting up prime Julio Jones-esque numbers
DeVonta Smith has had himself a stellar two seasons since entering the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles' 10th overall pick in the 2021 draft. He may not be talked about and hyped up like Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson but the proof is in the pudding. Smith deserves to be mentioned among the best young wideouts in the NFL.
If you're not a fan of pudding then statistics will have to do in this instance. How good has Smith been in his first two seasons for the Eagles? He's been so good that he's putting up prime Julio Jones-esque numbers.

Jones is a no-doubt Hall of Famer once he decides to hang 'em up (which could be soon considering he's about to enter his 13th NFL season), so Eagles fans have to be through the roof that Smith is playing at a comparative level.
The one thing that Jones was never able to accomplish in his early years with the Atlanta Falcons was win a Super Bowl, though, and Smith is 60 minutes away from doing just that if his Eagles can beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.
Jones is one of the best to ever catch the football but even he's at risk of retiring without a Super Bowl win. He'd likely tell Smith that it's easier said than done, so the young wideout is going to have to do everything he can to truly capitalize on his opportunity on Feb 12.
