Eli Manning wants Barack Obama as future 'MNF' 'ManningCast' guest

It was confirmed last week that the popular "Monday Night Football" alternate broadcasts featuring former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning discussing games and other subjects with special guests would remain associated with ESPN through at least the 2024 season following reports that Amazon was interested in acquiring the rights to "ManningCast" episodes for after the 2023 campaign.

Eli Manning, a two-time Super Bowl champion, recently spoke with TMZ Sports and explained he wants to dream big regarding a future "ManningCast" appearance.

"Maybe a president," Manning responded when asked about who a dream guest would be for a broadcast. "Barack Obama would be pretty good."

"I think we can get him."

Eli and the New York Giants visited President Obama in 2012 following their last Super Bowl win, while Peyton and the Denver Broncos had the honor as part of a championship celebration in 2016.

As for the "Monday Night Football" broadcasts, the Mannings didn't just stick to sports throughout the 2021 season. Per Tim Crean of Sportscasting, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Snoop Dogg, Jon Stewart, Kevin Hart, Condoleeza Rice and David Letterman were among the many stars who served as guests during the project's debut year.

Of course, some NFL players may fear the so-called "ManningCast curse" moving forward, but all involved can worry about that come September.
