Football is subjective. Everyone has their favorite team, favorite players. Something all football lovers commonly share, though, the excitement that comes with football season. And the 2023 preseason is here!  Die-hard fans have checked stats, watched training camp clips and studied schedules.

Interesting Bucs Preseason.

The Dolphins will be the first team the Bucs play to kick off preseason on August 13th. And… wait for it. Analyst predict the Dolphins to win. Contrary to those beliefs, the winner and loser have yet to be determined. One play could turn a game over. That is the beauty of the football.

Tom Brady won’t be suiting up for this first game, as explained by Luke Easterling for the Buccaneers Wire. Brady is the go to QB for the Bucs. Most veteran, first string players will not be starting pre-season games. That is nothing unusual. Even if he doesn’t play, the Buccaneers have more than enough seasoned players to take part in the game. And some great rookies to show off. Think Rachaad White or Kyle Trask.

The Dolphins have a good roster too. As do other teams. Owners and coaches built their teams with the Super Bowl in mind or with the aftermath of it in mind  – draft picks.

Preseason games aren’t just about winning, although they count. It’s more like a game of chess, or even poker, possibly cloak and dagger. It’s fascinating to watch coaches hide their strengths while using players to their best advantage. A hard thing to accomplish when players, coaches and front office all know each other and most likely worked with each other at one time or another.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Schedule.

The season kicks off with the first game happening on September 11, in Dallas against the Cowboys. There are eight games scheduled against 2021 playoff teams. Impressively, the Buccaneers 2022 season will include the first ever game in Munich, Germany, against the Seattle Seahawks.

Who will be the starting players for the season still hasn’t been announced. Anything can happen in preseason. And what happens now will affect everything in the future. Lift your head and take a sniff. Do you smell that? Preseason is here! Let the games begin.
