Falcons' Younghoe Koo on missed kick: 'At that moment, I just have to come through'

The Atlanta Falcons had the opportunity to push Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs into overtime with a field goal. The universe had other plans for Raheem Morris' squad.

Younghoe Koo missed a game-tying 39-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining in the game. The miss sealed Kansas City's 14th win of the season and helped it clinch the top spot in the AFC. Atlanta, meanwhile, dropped to 4-11 with the loss.

After the game, Koo offered no excuses for the missed field goal, saying that he simply has to cash in, according to William McFadden of the Falcons' website.

Koo, who was recently named to the Pro Bowl, has been one of the league's best kickers this season. He has missed just two field goals, including Sunday's attempt.

The 26-year-old has bounced around the league quite a bit. Before landing with the Falcons, Koo was cut by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017. He didn't appear in a single game in 2018 before signing with the Falcons a year later.
