Former Pro Bowl WR: ‘This may be the year the Ravens win the Super Bowl’

Winners of four of their last five games, the Baltimore Ravens are arguably the hottest team in the AFC.

With the easiest remaining strength of schedule among playoff contenders according to CBS Sports, the Ravens could potentially clinch the top seed in the AFC and have the easiest path to the Super Bowl, which is exactly where former Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall expects them to be.

“The Baltimore Ravens is the best team in the league, and it’s not even close,” Marshall said recently on an episode of Inside the NFL. “They’re going to start playing their best ball when the league really starts, and that’s when? [After Thanksgiving]. They’re going to get better. They’re getting healthier, Lamar Jackson looks good — he’s angry, he needs to be paid, he needs to be fed. I just want to let everybody know that the Baltimore Ravens, this may be the year they win the Super Bowl. This may be the best Baltimore Ravens team we’ve ever seen.”

The combined record of Baltimore’s remaining opponents is 24-44 (.353 win percentage). With just one game the rest of the season against a playoff team — the Cincinnati Bengals — the Ravens could potentially ride a 10-game win streak into their Week 18 showdown at Cincinnati.

Baltimore has made the playoffs three of the last four seasons, most recently losing to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round two years ago. The Ravens have won two Super Bowls in franchise history — 2000 and 2012.
