Former Raiders Chandler Jones is in the news again, as he had another run in with the law on Tuesday in Las Vegas.

“Former Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones has been arrested again in Las Vegas,” wrote Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. “Police and court records in Las Vegas show, via the Las Vegas Review-Journal, that Jones was arrested for violating a domestic violence temporary protection order on Tuesday. Those records show that police responded to a call at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

“Jones was arrested on two counts of the same charge in September and was released on a $15,000 bond. Jones was on the Raiders’ non-football illness list at the time of that arrest and the team released him in the wake of it.”

Prior to his original arrest, Chandler Jones had not been with the Raiders since Labor Day. He played in 15 games for the Raiders during the 2022 season, but his time with the team came to a screeching halt earlier this season.

In the months since the beginning of the season and prior to his release, Jones was posting concerns statements to social media, and levying gigantic allegations against members of the Raiders. The team decided it was best to cut ties, and it’s evident there’s a bigger issue at bay with the former Las Vegas defender.

Regardless, the football world is hoping Chandler Jones gets whatever help he needs moving forward, and the whirlwind of the past few weeks can be put behind him soon. As for the Raiders, they’re hoping o get a victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
