Four-time Pro Bowler Chandler Jones unloads on Raiders in wild Instagram tirade

Chandler Jones appears to be at his wit's end with the Raiders organization. Just five days away from Las Vegas's season opener against the Denver Broncos, Jones took to Instagram to air out his grievances with the franchise that signed him to a $51 million contract less than 18 months ago.

The four-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher ripped the organization for his inability to get into the team's facilities, saying he's resorted to training at local gyms.

Jones proceeded to draw a line in the sand, saying he "don't wanna play for the Raiders" as long as Josh McDaniels is his head coach and Dave Ziegler remains the general manager.

Warning: explicit language

Jones, 33, is one of the most dominant edge-rushers of the past decade. Since entering the league as a first-round selection in 2012, he's tied with Buffalo Bills star Von Miller for second-most sacks in the NFL with 112.

Despite his lofty resume, his production took a substantial dip during his first season in Sin City. On 784 snaps (second-most among Raiders edge-rushers), he amassed just 4.5 sacks — a six-sack dropoff from his 10.5 sacks with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021.

Jones's time in Las Vegas appears to be ticking. The Raiders went out this offseason and used the No. 7 overall pick to draft Tyree Wilson, who projects as Jones's successor opposite of two-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby. During Wilson's final two seasons at Texas Tech, he flashed a knack for getting after the quarterback, collecting 29 sacks in 23 games.

In a league hungry for pass-rush help, Jones would likely garner interest from potential suitors if the Raiders opt to move on from the veteran — a move that would make sense at this juncture. Jones did little to move the needle for the Vegas pass rush in 2022, as the team finished 30th in sacks with 27.
