Free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. may wait until after Sunday to pick new team?

It was reported Wednesday evening that free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. could wait "a few days" to finalize where he'll sign after he cleared waivers following his much-publicized departure from the Cleveland Browns that unofficially began after the Nov. 2 trade deadline.

However, Beckham may truly be embracing a "patience is a virtue" approach to picking his new football home.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reported Thursday that Beckham is now willing to allow Sunday's NFL games to finish before he puts pen to paper on a contract with a club. NFL Network reported Wednesday the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints were among teams pursuing the three-time Pro Bowl selection, and Russini echoed that claim.

It's believed Beckham only wants to play for a postseason contender. Ironically, the 7-2 Packers host the 3-5 Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among teams passing on the 29-year-old.

Not everyone within the football community is buying that Beckham is merely weighing options. Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk suggested OBJ would've already signed had he received an offer "as good as he was expecting," and NFL insider Dov Kleiman added:

"Hopes are up there pretty high. Been talking to him a little bit, so we'll see what happens," Packers All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams said Wednesday about his team potentially signing his personal friend. "But like I've said previously, I don't expect anything to happen. But if it does, that would be great."
