Giants CB Darnay Holmes is turning viral moment into NFT

New York Giants cornerback Darnay Holmes has certainly gotten a lot of attention this week after a video of him being tended to on the sidelines in Week 5 went viral for all the wrong reasons. So the third-year defenseman has decided to have a very 2022 reaction to the madness and turn the seemingly not safe for work video into an NFT.

"Everyone having so much fun with this [video] so I decided to team up with Momento NFT and turn it into an NFT," the 24-year-old wrote on Twitter this week

Social media went into a tizzy on Sunday when Holmes was videoed receiving treatment on the sidelines without a medical tent during the Giants' 27-22 win over the Green Bay Packers. While there is nothing odd about a trainer tending to a player during a game, the camera angle on the video gave a very NSFW view of Holmes having his thigh area worked on while he stood with his pants partially pulled down.

In addition to making a little crypto off of the widely-seen video, Holmes is also reportedly laughing along at his own expense.

"He's laughed through it all," teammate Julian Love told the "Tiki and Tierney" show on WFAN this week. "Everybody is laughing, but he is laughing with it."

Holmes, a fourth-round draft pick for the Giants in 2020, has 13 tackles, two passes defended, and a forced fumble so far this season.
