Giants QB Daniel Jones downplays heated sideline interaction with Kenny Golladay

After New York Giants veteran Graham Gano kicked his fifth field goal of the night in Thursday's game against the Washington Football Team, Kenny Golladay was seen screaming at quarterback Daniel Jones on the sideline.

The Giants had the opportunity to put the game away following a James Bradberry interception in the fourth quarter. However, they ran three simple plays, took almost no time off the clock and settled for a Gano field goal. Golladay was understandably angry.

After the game, a 30-29 loss, Jones downplayed the heated interaction with Golladay.

"I think he was frustrated with the situation," Jones said, per Peter Botte of the New York Post. "I don't really think it was to me or anyone in particular."

Jones added: "So I think we're all good. I love Kenny. I thought he played hard and we did a lot of good things out there. I've got to do a better job of finding him in some places. He was just frustrated, frustrated with the situation and we'll be better from it. He plays hard and wants to win and wants to do the best for the team."

Jones said he thinks Golladay's desire for more passes thrown his way after a slow start to his Giants career played a role in his frustration. Golladay finished Thursday's loss with just three catches for 38 yards.

Giants head coach Joe Judge also downplayed the interaction, saying Jones and Golladay worked it out in the locker room after the game.

New York is now 0-2 on the season and things aren't going to get any easier from here. The Giants will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 before facing the New Orleans Saints in Week 4.
