The New York Giants are officially in the playoffs, a feat that has alluded them since 2016.

One of the main reasons that they are in the position that they are in is due to the spectacular play of rookie defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux.

Thibodeaux made headlines yesterday, although, not for his on-field performances.

Thibodeaux was under scrutiny from Indianapolis Colts head coach Jeff Saturday after he sacked Colts quarterback Nick Foles.

Thibodeaux made the sack and then celebrated with a snow angel celebration.

Saturday made public comments about the celebration and called out Thibodeaux for his alleged immature behavior and overall lack of care for Foles.

In response to this, Thibodeaux brushed off all of Saturday’s comments, which have received mixed reactions from around the league, and on social media as well.

On one hand, Thibodeaux made a routine-looking sack and celebrated as any young player might after they get home against the quarterback.

On the other, however, Foles was lying on the ground and looked like he was in extreme pain, which someone like Saturday might consider insensitive, as he didn’t help Foles up from his back.

There’s one additional nuance to this story that isn’t being discussed that much.

After Thibodeaux sacked Foles, none of Foles’ teammates were in sight.

They saw their teammate in pain and didn’t take any measures to help him up or to make sure that he was doing okay.

Will Thibodeaux face additional scrutiny besides Saturday’s comments?

We’ll soon see what comes of this.
