As the Green Bay Packers prepare to get better this offseason, they were recently named as a team that can reach the Super Bowl from the NFC.

It was a surprisingly great 2023 season for the Green Bay Packers, as despite having a lot of question marks coming into the season, things went very well for the team overall.

Last season, the Packers finished with a 9-8 record and were able to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. It was a pretty slow start for the Packers to start the season, but they went on to win 7 of their last 10 games to make the playoffs.

Once the playoffs started, the Packers shocked many by eliminating the Dallas Cowboys with a fantastic performance on the road. After that, the Packers gave the San Francisco 49ers all they could handle and nearly beat them as well.

Recently, Jason Kroulik of SI.com spoke about the Packers being one team from the NFC that could make the Super Bowl this season. Here’s what he had to say.

Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love made a major leap late in the year, and I think you can take his trajectory and—without calling him Aaron Rodgers—compare it favorably to Rodgers in 2008 and ’09. Also, I love the young skill group that’s going to grow up with him and defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will supercharge a talented defense. The big question lingering from there, then, will be how things shake out along the offensive line.

The Packers on paper certainly look like a contender in the NFC this season. While last season might have been a surprise, the Packers will not be taken lightly this season. Even though the Packers are very good, the NFC does have some other strong contenders in the Eagles, 49ers, and Lions.

A lot of how the Packers do this season will be on Jordan Love to continue to impress and improve as a quarterback in his second year as a starter. Even though the Packers have a good team, they will be tested in the NFC in 2024.
