HOUSTON - Three HBCU legends were among the 41 players selected for the Reese's Senior Bowl's 75th Anniversary Team. All of the HBCU players hail from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

- Michael Strahan (Texas Southern -1993) - Black College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fames (Cardinals, Rams)
- Terron Armstead (Arkansas-Pine Bluff - 2013) - NFL Player (Dolphins, Saints)
AENEAS WILLIAMS
Aeneas Williams was a participant in the 1991 Senior Bowl game. The Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals organization selected the Southern University Jaguars legend as the 59th overall draft pick in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft. Williams was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from Alcee Fortier High School before attending Southern from 1988-1990. He earned three First-Team All-Pro honors in 1995, 1997, and 2001. The NFL chose him to join the NFL 1990s All-Decade team. Williams retired with 795 tackles, 55 interceptions, three sacks, five forced fumbles, and 13 touchdowns.
MICHAEL STRAHAN
Michael Strahan played in the 1993 Senior Bowl game. The New York Giants selected him out of Texas Southern as the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft. Strahan won a Super Bowl XLII ring and NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors with the Giants. The Texas Southern legend recorded 854 tackles, 141.5 sacks, four interceptions, and 24 forced fumbles in his NFL career. The Giants retired his No. 92 and placed him in their New York Giants Ring of Honor.
He became the first HBCU athlete to fly out of space aboard Blue Origin NS-19 on Dec. 11, 2021. Strahan is currently a co-host on Good Morning America.
TERRON ARMSTEAD
Terron Armstead became an offensive tackle sensation at the 2013 Senior Bowl. After setting a record in the 40-yard dash (4.71 seconds) for an offensive lineman at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine, New Orleans' head coach Sean Payton had to draft the UAPB Golden Lion standout. The Saints picked him as the 75th overall draft choice in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Armstead protected Saints legend Drew Brees' blindside for seven seasons before the quarterback's retirement. Miami signed him to a free-agent deal on Mar. 22, 2022. He's currently protecting Dolphins signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa. Armstead is a financial partner with the HBCU Legacy Bowl all-star game founded by Doug Williams and James "Shack" Harris.
The theme for the Reese's Senior Bowl's 75th celebration will be "The Legends Return." The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, and will include a halftime ceremony honoring the 75th Anniversary Team.
