Here's how much Lamar Jackson's MVP odds have changed after win vs. Lions

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson really turned back the clock in Week 7, and it has done wonders for his chances of snagging NFL MVP honors at the end of the year.

The 2019 MVP was in vintage form on Sunday as he totaled 357 passing yards for three touchdowns and added 36 rushing yards and an additional running TD in a 38-6 win against the Detroit Lions. It wasn't just Jackson's best game of the season, but the best fans and opponents have seen from him since before the pandemic.

Naturally, a performance like this can do wonders for a player's chances of snagging end-of-season awards, but exactly how much did Sunday's game impact Jackson's odds of winning another MVP award?

Clearly, that game impacted the odds quite a bit. OddsChecker revealed on Monday that Jackson's odds for being regular season MVP were greatly shortened -- from +1600 (16-1) to +750 (15-2).

That puts Jackson ahead of players who were previously listed ahead of him such as Bills QB Josh Allen, who is now listed at 13-1 odds after previously being the favorite at most sportsbooks. 49ers QB Brock Purdy (now at 10-1) and running back Christian McCaffrey (now 20-1) also used to have shorter odds than Jackson, but the current listing can change this week since San Francisco hasn't played its Monday night game against the Minnesota Vikings yet.

The only players with shorter odds than Jackson to win regular-season MVP are the favorite and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (11-4), Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (5-1) and Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (23-4.)

Jackson gets another chance to improve his MVP odds in Week 8 when the Ravens face the Cardinals in Arizona.
