How much will Bengals WR Tee Higgins cost to extend?

Bengals WR Tee Higgins is about to receive a big payday as he's entering the final year of his rookie deal and Pro Football Focus revealed just how much money Cincinnati may be planning to give him.

According to PFF's Brad Spielberger, Higgins should fetch a four-year, $97 million contract extension, which is $24.25 million per year.

It's a lot of money to pay a WR2 but Higgins would likely be the WR1 on a lot of other teams in the league and it may be possible as QB Joe Burrow recently hinted at taking a team-friendly deal.

"You've gotta have good players. I mean, it doesn't matter how good your quarterback is. If you don't have good players around him, you're not going to be a good team," Burrow, who is also due for a contract extension, said.

Higgins, who cracked PFF's "top 25 players under 25," is certainly deserving as he has posted back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons and 3,028 yards and 19 touchdowns in the first three years of his young NFL career.

"It's been a career of high-level consistency for Higgins, who would likely have even better stats with Ja'Marr Chase not acting as the team's No. 1 receiver the past two years," PFF writes.

If the Bengals can find a way to keep Burrow, Higgins and Chase, Cincinnati could be the team to beat for many years to come.
