Two Bengals crack PFF's 'top 25 players under 25'

The Bengals are certainly a team to envy as they boast one of the youngest and most talented units in the league. Pro Football Focus agrees as two of their players have made its "top 25 players under 25" list.

The first player, coming in at No. 4, is WR Ja'Marr Chase. This should come as no surprise as he has totaled 168 catches for 2,501 yards and 22 touchdowns from 2021-22 and has been "one of the top big-play receivers in the league, recording 60 explosive plays of 20 yards or more," according to PFF.

There's probably even an argument to be made that Chase should be higher. Although OT Tristan Wirfs (No. 3), WR Justin Jefferson (No. 2) and edge rusher Micah Parsons (No. 1) have strong cases themselves.

The second player, coming in at No. 14, is WR Tee Higgins, who is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

"It's been a career of high-level consistency for Higgins, who would likely have even better stats with Ja'Marr Chase not acting as the team's No. 1 receiver the past two years," PFF writes.

Chase and Higgins are the only wide receiver duo to crack the list and all signs are pointing to them playing together a long time.

QB Joe Burrow, who is due for a contract extension, told reporters, "You've gotta have good players. I mean, it doesn't matter how good your quarterback is. If you don't have good players around him, you're not going to be a good team."

If Burrow stays true to his statement, defenses beware for the next decade.
