The Arizona Cardinals seemed to not be able to go a single day this week without a new injury.

With multiple players out for week one, Arizona was forced to make another handful of roster changes.

To begin, the Cardinals signed wide receiver Andre Baccellia. The 25-year-old was originally cut ahead of the 53-man roster deadline, but he will be joining Arizona for a matchup against the Chiefs. Baccellia has never played in an actual NFL regular season game. However, with Rondale Moore facing a hamstring injury, the Cardinals had no choice but to bring him up.

Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch, Andy Isabella, A.J. Green, and Andre Baccellia may have not been the expected opening week WR core.

Next, Cody Ford in the IR is defiantly not what the Cardinals were expecting when they traded for him a couple of weeks ago. Ford was brought over from the Bills but, he will now be unable to play due to an ankle injury.

With Cody heading to the IR, the Cardinals filled his spot by signing offensive lineman Max Garcia from the Giants practice squad. Garcia has found himself bouncing in between the Giants and the Cardinals since 2020. Most recently, he was signed to their practice squad on September 2nd.

Lastly, Arizona made a couple of moves at the cornerback position. These include releasing Javelin Guidry and elevating Jace Whittaker from the practice squad. Jace is entering his third season in the NFL where he has played 6 total games.

Entire injury report below…..

The Arizona Cardinals have quickly found themselves with an injury problem. It has been anything but smooth sailing the entire offseason and a win is just about the only thing that can shut out all the noise. This Sunday against the Chiefs continues to prove itself as a massive test.

Will Arizona be able to overcome these injuries and sneak away with a victory?
