The news dropped, and it instantly became obvious that the Jacksonville Jaguars were in a sticky situation for Week 16.

On Monday, the New England Patriots claimed quarterback Nathan Rourke off of the Jaguars practice squad. Some may think that it doesn't matter, seeing how that is a practice squad player.

Trevor Lawrence is in concussion protocol, and there are some pretty high odds that he won't be able to go on Sunday. That means C.J. Beathard will go. That also means Logan Cooke, who is normally the emergency quarterback, will be his backup. That means that Rourke would have been the emergency QB this week.

Now, the Jaguars, if Lawrence can't go, will likely have to go and get another practice squad QB for the time being.

We do know, though, that Rourke has a slim chance to play for the Patriots, as they are dealing with a pretty bad QB situation there.
