Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts fully expects to play in the team’s wild-card playoff game against Tampa Bay on Monday, but he is still having some issues with his injured finger.

Hurts injured his middle finger during Sunday’s season finale against the New York Giants, though he tried to play through the injury. The quarterback admitted that the injury hurt more on Monday, and somewhat worryingly, he has yet to throw a football this week.

The good news for Hurts is that the Eagles are playing Monday, giving him an extra day to recover. The concern for the reeling team is that he might not be 100 percent, though there is no reason to believe he will not play, especially since he avoided a worst-case scenario.

The Eagles enter the postseason having lost five of their last six. Hurts will need to be something close to his usual self for the team to put a stop to that and make it to the second weekend of the postseason.
