The Miami Dolphins will be without one of their top playmakers in Week 17.

The Dolphins announced on Friday that Jaylen Waddle has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens due to an ankle injury.

Waddle left Miami’s 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys last week after he suffered an ankle injury on an end-around play. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel later revealed that Waddle has a high ankle sprain, which is often a multi-week injury.

Tyreek Hill has also been battling through an ankle injury, but he is expected to play against the Ravens.

The Dolphins improved to 11-4 with their win over the Cowboys and have clinched a playoff berth. They have a two-game lead over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.

If the Dolphins lose in Baltimore, there is a good chance their matchup with the Buffalo Bills in Week 18 will be for the AFC East title.

Waddle has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. Even if his ankle sprain keeps him out for the final two games of the season, he has already secured his third consecutive campaign with 1,000-plus yards.
