The New York Jets have called up two reinforcements, one of each side of the ball, for the December 10 home game against the Houston Texans.

On Saturday, the Jets designated offensive guard Chris Glaser and defensive end Jalyn Holmes as Week 14 gameday elevations from the Practice Squad.

Glaser will help compensate for the loss of interior lineman Wes Schweitzer, who was placed on Injured Reserve after not practicing this past week. Holmes's elevation could mean that starting edge rusher John Franklin-Myers won't be available to face the Texans on Sunday. Hampered by an ankle issue, Franklin-Myers was officially listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

After playing in all four of the Jets' preseason games this past summer, the Glaser landed on the Practice Squad in September. He was released on October 3. The offensive lineman subsequently spent one week on the Dallas Cowboys' Practice Squad until rejoining the Jets as a member of the 53-man roster. Glaser, who initially entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, was the starting right guard in New York's Week 11 loss at Buffalo.

The Jets dropped Glaser from the 53-man roster on November 23 and re-added him on a Practice Squad deal five days later.

Holmes will make his Jets' debut after initially joining the organization on August 14. He made 2.0 sacks against Tampa Bay in his first preseason game with New York.

The 27-year-old Holmes did not survive roster cutdown day, but landed on the Practice Squad. The Jets released the defensive end on October 11 and subsequently re-signed him to a P-Squad deal on October 31. Holmes, who entered the NFL as a Minnesota Vikings' fourth-round draft pick in 2018, has logged 60 tackles over 34 career appearances.

In addition to the two P-Squad call-ups, the Jets made two adjustments to their 53-man roster on Saturday. Placing Schweitzer on IR, the team signed Practice Squad center Jake Hanson to the active roster.
