Kudos to Josh Allen for helping the Western New York community. Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills announced earlier on Wednesday that their owners would donate at least $1.2 million to help those affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Western New York.

With this state being the hardest hit by the pandemic, said donation will go a long way in helping those in need.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen caught wind of the donation via Twitter. He responded by asking how he might be able to contribute.

Allen chipped in $25,000 to help the foundations as they look to aid in the response to this growing pandemic.

It’s something we have seen around the social media world a lot since the virus came to our shores. Fellow Americans looking to help one another out through hard times. Current and former professional athletes doing their part.

It’s great to see that this medium is being used in such a positive way.
