The Philadelphia Eagles are 7-1 after picking up a 38-31 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 8.

Eagles fans have a certain so-called "washed-up" veteran to take for one of those touchdowns.

Wide receiver Julio Jones scored his first touchdown as an Eagle and proved doubters wrong along the way.

His TD couldn't have come at a more perfect time. Eagles' safety Reed Blankenship had just intercepted Washington quarterback Sam Howell and then Jalen Hurts came in and found Jones in the end zone for an 8-yard score.

With Jones' touchdown, the Eagles took a 31-24 lead late in the fourth quarter.

When the Eagles signed 34-year-old Jones to their practice squad two weeks ago, he had told reporters he was going to show everyone how much he "has left" in him and he did just that on Sunday.

“Have left?!” Jones said via NBC Sports' Dave Dangaro. “Just keep watching. I ain’t going to make no expectations but just keep watching and I can show you. We’ll revisit this question, all right?”

Jones is the oldest wideout on an Eagles roster that features talented receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. He knows his place on the team as an experienced veteran, but that doesn't mean he's not going to "dominate" when he's out there on the field.

“My mindset is definitely to dominate,” Jones said. “Don’t get it twisted. I’m here to dominate. But I’m saying guys are already here, they’re solidified in their positions. Wherever they need me to go and be, I’m going to do that at the best of my ability."

Jones has been elevated twice so far this season for Philly. Per league rules, a player can only be elevated three times and then they must be signed to the active roster or pass through waivers in order to rejoin the practice squad.

The Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 and then have a bye week in Week 10, so we won't really know what the Eagles will decide to do with Jones until Week 11.

The future Hall of Fame wide receiver now has 64 career touchdowns through 13 seasons.
