As the 2023 NFL season approaches, LA football fans eagerly anticipate witnessing two formidable defenses in action – the LA Rams and the LA Chargers. With star-studded rosters and talented pass rushers, both teams have the potential to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks. In this poll article, we delve into the question that intrigues fans: which LA team’s defense will record more sacks in the upcoming season?

The LA Rams, known for their relentless and aggressive defense, have seen some significant changes since last season. They bid farewell to many defensive pieces on their roster including, star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, Bobby Wagner, and Leonard Floyd. Nonetheless, the Rams still boast a formidable defensive front, led by the incomparable Aaron Donald, who elevates those around him and is still the best defensive player in the league. Donald will be joined by many young defense players this season, being 5 years older than the next closest defensive lineman.

On the other side of town, the LA Chargers have undergone a transformative rejuvenation this past two years, bolstering their defense with notable additions. One of the most significant acquisitions is former Chicago Bears defensive standout Khalil Mack. Mack’s presence on the Chargers’ roster added an elite pass-rusher who can disrupt opposing offenses with his speed and power off the edge. Additionally, the Chargers’ defense welcomes the seasoned expertise of linebacker Eric Kendricks, who brings a wealth of experience and playmaking ability to the unit.

Staley’s defensive acumen, coupled with the expertise of his defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley, promises to keep the Chargers’ defense among the league’s best in terms of generating sacks. The combination of Joey Bosa‘s explosive pass-rushing skills and the newly added talents of Khalil Mack and Eric Kendricks makes the Chargers a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball.
