Lane Johnson criticizes Eagles fans, quickly backtracks

Coming off the heels of a blowout loss at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson vented his personal frustration with Eagles fans on Tuesday.

Just a little over an hour after the tweet published, Johnson backtracked and attempted to clarify his comments on his own Twitter account.

With the Eagles having experienced two straight embarrassing home losses — blowing a 16-3 to lose to the Miami Dolphins one week before getting shelled to the tune of 45-17 against the Bucs — tension his high in Philly right now. Johnson, the fourth overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, is clearly feeling some of that tension.

Luckily for the Eagles, even with a record of 4-6 they are only one game behind the New York Giants for the division lead in the NFC East, though the Eagles are clearly trending downward, losing three of their past four games.

Johnson and the Eagles will face the Lions in Detroit on Thanksgiving, at Detroit.
