There's a significant change on the horizon for a player in the Las Vegas Raiders team-a new jersey number will be donned in 2024.

In the world of professional sports, it's not uncommon for a player to enter the league and find that their desired number is already taken. This could be due to a veteran player on the team already sporting that number, or the position they play may not allow for a certain number. These were the rules before a recent change in the league's regulations.

It's a familiar tale in the world of sports-a player yearning for a change. We witnessed this unfold on the Raiders last season with former running back, now Green Bay Packers player, Josh Jacobs. In college, he proudly wore the No. 8 jersey, a number he was unable to retain in the NFL due to position restrictions.

So, he chose No. 28. Two years ago, the rule changed, and he could have changed his number, but the NFL was going to make him buy out all of the No. 28 jerseys that weren't purchased yet. This last year, he changed his number to No. 8, and now we could see another similar situation with the Raiders.

Zamir White, the likely starting running back for the 2024 season, is changing his number. He was No. 35, a number he adopted when he joined the team and No. 3 was already taken by DeAndre Carter. White, who wore No. 3 in college at Georgia, recently expressed his desire to reclaim his college number.

Now, he has.
