The Detroit Lions won against their ex-QB Matthew Stafford and the Rams this past Sunday in a game that set records for TV viewership.

Lions rookie star Sam LaPorta got a injury update for the Buccaneers amid the teams’ playoff prep. Bold predictions for the Lions’ Divisional Round vs. the Bucs were revealed.

On Wednesday, a topic from the Lions’ harrowing win over the Los Angeles Rams was discussed.

As usual, Lions boss Dan Campbell refused to back down when questioned on whether his team had been playing dirty.

Campbell Responds to Joseph Controversy

Campbell spoke out about the play in question which involved safety Kerby Joseph tackling Rams tight end Tyler Higbee low, which ended up flipping  him in the air and led to his ACL tear.

Campbell said he didn’t believe the tackle was a dirty one. While some announcers have called for further scrutiny on tackles below the waist where a defending is flying in and ends up flipping the offensive player, Campbell had a blunt message for those who think Joseph’s hit was a ‘dirty’ one.

A screenshot of the play called into question Campbell’s comment.

Still another fan showed a picture that appeared to show a Rams player diving at the knees of Lions tight end Sam LaPorta, who injured his knee the previous week.

Lions Divisional Round Opponent Set

The Lions’ Divisional Round opponent is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with the game time set for 3 p.m. ET.

The Lions are hoping that LaPorta, QB Jared Goff and others play their best football at a time when Baker Mayfield and the Bucs are expected to present a difficult challenge at Ford Field.
