Lions QB Matthew Stafford reportedly puts Michigan home on market for $6.5M

It looks like Matthew Stafford is on the move. The Detroit Lions quarterback has listed his Michigan home for $6.5 million, according to TMZ Sports.

Stafford's home sits on 1.27 acres of land in Bloomfield Township, Mich., and features the largest infinity-edge pool in the state, five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a glass elevator, an indoor basketball court, a walk-in wine cellar, gourmet kitchen, walk-in closets and a sauna. Talk about luxury.

The listing comes after the 32-year-old Stafford reportedly asked the Lions for a trade, which he denied on Thursday ... but why would you list such a spectacular home if you don't plan on moving away from Detroit?

Stafford noted he loves being a Lion and loves playing in Detroit, but it's now hard to ignore that he may want out. Lions head coach Matt Patricia has caused a rift in the Lions locker room since being hired in 2018, so maybe that rift also involves Stafford and not just cornerback Darius Slay.

Although the Lions didn't select a QB in the 2020 NFL Draft, it seems like the team will be in for an overhaul come 2021 if it doesn't perform better this season, and that will include a change a quarterback.

Stafford, the No. 1 overall pick in 2009, has gone 69-79-1 with a 62.5 completion percentage and 256 touchdowns. Detroit has made the playoffs just three times since Stafford took over, which doesn't necessarily bode well for him to continue being their starter past 2020.

So, who knows? Maybe the home listing indicates he'll be on the move sooner than later.
