The Los Angeles Chargers will probably attack the wide receiver position early and often in the 2024 NFL Draft. They may take one in the first round. If not, you can speculate that they will grab one on day two and possibly another on day three. They need the bodies.
One of the wideouts that they've shown interest in is a unique prospect. He's family of an NFL legend.
Brenden Rice, son of Jerry Rice, visited with the Chargers.
He talked to Kay Adams about his visit with Jim Harbaugh and company on her show this past week.
Rice discussed his interactions with head coach Jim Harbaugh. Rice was recruited by Michigan as he entered college football.
He also noted Harbaugh's upbeat personality and in-depth knowledge of the game of football. Rice admires the Chargers head coach.
When asked about if it would be cool to play with QB Justin Herbert, Rice said, "Most definitely."
Rice is a big play wideout who found tons of success on jump balls in college. He'd be a nice addition for Los Angeles' offense amid a major WR need.
