Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker is putting together an impressive debut season in the Silver and Black.

The speedy third-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati has 11 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games. He stretches the field for the Raiders and gives them a new element to their offense.

Tucker’s play this season has impressed star defensive end Maxx Crosby, who encourages rookies to prove themselves. He spoke about Tucker’s progression on the most recent episode of his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

“When it comes to ability, when it comes to a young guy putting in the work and just locking in and staying focused and humble, Tre Tucker embodies all that,” he said. “One thing I do notice, and I like a lot about him, is that he is always around Tae [Davante Adams]. He’ll be in the locker room, and he just sits next to Davante and asks him questions all the time. He’s always just around him. It reminds me of when I was a rookie. I was always trying to talk to the best players on the team: Antonio Brown, Vontaze Burfict, and Richie Incognito. All those guys were on our team as a rookie. I just tried to ask them as many questions as possible and always try to be around them because that’s what I wanted to be like.”

“Late in my career, I want to be a great player and have success at the highest level. So, that’s something I’ve noticed from him. He’s super confident. He’s got great confidence for a young guy, which is rare. He’s got all the ability in the world. The dude is a freak. When it comes to speed, he’s really got that low-4.3 speed. He’s a freak of nature when it comes to that. He’s stacked, but he’s tiny, and he can fly.”

The Raiders have included Tucker in the offense more as the season has progressed, and the results are paying off. He posted a season-high 59 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers and caught his first two touchdowns in the NFL.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
