One of the noticeable moments from the Vikings' fourth-quarter capitulation was the sight of a prone Mekhi Blackmon looking on as the Bengals Tee Higgins tied things up with a remarkable late touchdown.

Cincinnati QB Jake Browning was under intense pressure when he threw a desperate pass high in the air towards the end zone with 44 seconds left in Saturday's game.

Higgins somehow made the catch ahead of Vikings corner Akayleb Evans and then stretched his arm back to break the plane.

But it was the actions of Blackmon that attracted comment afterwards, with the rookie corner shown throwing his fist in the air as the ball came down towards Higgins and Evans, and standing still as Higgins reached back to get the touchdown.

Had he reacted, he may have had the chance to knock the ball loose or even stripped it from Higgins.

Blackmon, who has been impressive in his first season with the Vikings since they drafted him in the third round, explained on Twitter that he thought Evans had his second interception of the game, and added: "My B Y'All."

Ultimately Blackmon's error was minor compared to other mistakes in Saturday's game, with the Vikings' turnovers continuing to haunt them in a season chock-full of them.
