Message to Jerry Jones: Trade for a WR so you can stop screaming into your pillow

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently told ESPN, "If you hear an eerie sound coming across Dallas, that's me with my head in my pillow screaming, wanting to get into a position to win a Super Bowl."

Jerry, trade for a wide receiver so you no longer have to wail into your pillow.

Although the Cowboys are 5-2, their offense is stagnant, which could hurt their championship chase. The Cowboys' offense ranks 29th in the league. Their passing game is No.27 in the NFL.

Even though Dak Prescott missed five games with a right thumb injury, the offense failed to make a huge improvement in his return against the Lions. Prescott only threw for 207 yards, below the league average.

Prescott needs someone else to throw to besides star wideout CeeDee Lamb, which is why Dallas should trade for a young wide receiver before the trade deadline Tuesday at 4 p.m EST.

Additionally, the market is hot. Young wideouts such as Chase Claypool, Jerry Jeudy, D.J. Moore and K.J. Hamler reportedly are on the trading block. These options would fit well in the offense.

Although they would require a high price, they're worth it. The last three Super Bowl champions (Chiefs, Buccaneers, and Rams) had a passing offense that finished in the league's top five.
