Micah Hyde hints free agents want to play with Bills QB Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills one-time Pro Bowl safety Micah Hyde has become an ideal hype man for the AFC club that fell one win short of facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Super Bowl LV. Hyde recently agreed to a two-year contract extension, and the 30-year-old later roasted players who previously snubbed the Bills.

While speaking on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Hyde suggested that free agents now want to play alongside Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen because the Bills are close to putting it all together and winning a title.

"This isn’t the old Buffalo, this is the new Buffalo, this is the Josh Allen Buffalo," Hyde said, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "We’re winning ball games, scoring points and playing well on defense. So I’m excited to see what (general manager Brandon Beane) and (coach Sean McDermott) are able to do with some free agents."

According to ESPN stats, Allen finished the 2020 regular season fourth overall with a 107.2 passer rating, third with a total QBR of 81.7 and fifth with 37 passing touchdowns. Buffalo's offense was second with 31.3 points per game.
