Micah Parsons rips Cowboys haters, thinks they should have 'same energy' for Eagles, 49ers

Edge-rusher Micah Parsons is fine with the Dallas Cowboys taking it on the chin following the team’s losses to the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers.

What he’s not OK with is what he believes is fans and media personalities making excuses for the 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles, who suffered their first losses of the season last week to the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets, respectively.

During a recent episode of the “On the Edge with Micah Parsons” podcast, Parsons stated if the Cowboys get put on blast following a loss, it’s only fair to criticize the 49ers and Eagles as well.

"I heard a quote, (Emmanuel) Acho said this, which p-ssed me off — he said, 'I'm not worried about the 49ers, they were missing Christian McCaffrey, they were missing Deebo Samuel,” Parsons said. “…[The Browns] were missing them key factors before the game even started. So why is it that we are just scrubs and we're nobodies that don't deserve to be on the field, and we're just all talk, but there's 100 excuses for these other teams?”

Parsons pointed to the Browns upsetting the 49ers with backup quarterback P.J. Walker playing in place of Deshaun Watson and backup running backs Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt playing instead of Nick Chubb.

The two-time Pro Bowler also stated the Eagles weren’t criticized enough for their loss to the Jets — a team that Dallas beat 30-10 in Week 2 while forcing three Zach Wilson interceptions and four total turnovers.

Parsons said Philly’s loss is even more embarrassing considering Jalen Hurts was picked off three times by a secondary without starting cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed — both of whom played against Dallas in Week 2 — and that only three of the Eagles' 10 drives were longer than 35 yards.

"I just don't condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, and (not) have the same energy for the Eagles," Parsons added. “We want the same energy for everybody. Because there's a whole bunch of bashing when it's Dak Prescott, but not the same when it's the Eagles. … If y'all just going to hate Cowboys nation, just say y'all hate Cowboys nation. But don't sit here and throw shade on us. Keep the same energy for everybody.”
