There wasn’t expected to be any mystery about when Michigan football and Ohio State would play their annual rivalry game in 2024, but you never can trust the powers that be, not to screw things up.

So far, the TV executives haven’t messed with a good thing when it comes to Michigan football vs. Ohio State and they won’t in 2024 either as it was announced that ‘The Game’ will be featured on Big Noon Kickoff once again.

Hell, I’m pretty sure Big Noon Kickoff became a thing because of the Michigan-Ohio State game. It has made Fox College Football coverage what it is.

Michigan football and Ohio State will play in traditional spot

So it would only make sense to continue to showcase the top game the network has. Frankly, it’s the top game in all of college football and is routinely one of the most watched.

Michigan football will be on Fox Big Noon Kickoff at least twice. The Wolverines will also be featured during the second week of the season when the Longhorns come to Ann Arbor. I had dreams of an Arch Manning-J.J. McCarthy matchup, but that’s not going to happen.

It will still be a great football game though and the first true test for the Wolverines next season. The first game will be played against Fresno State and we have learned when that will be played.

Michigan football will be featured on the first Saturday night NBC Sports game of the season in 2024 as the Bulldogs and Wolverines will play under the lights in the Big House to open the 2024 season.
