Nobody was more excited for the debut of Aaron Rodgers than ESPN’s Mike Greenberg. The longtime personality has been a New York Jets fan his entire life and now has a two-time MVP leading the franchise. There was no better scenario than the Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills taking place on Monday Night Football.

But as we all know, Rodgers lasted less than a drive before going down injured. He has since been ruled out of the game and there's a possibility he'll be held out of game action for a long time to come. The highs of seeing Rodgers in a Jets jersey came crashing incredibly fast.

No matter what happened, Greenberg’s wife was going to document his emotions via Twitter all night. Of course, she got his reaction to Rodgers going down injured, a mask of complete and utter shock. A picture she tweeted out captures the feeling pretty well.

Greenberg is the host of Get Up! on ESPN, where the Jets have become a common topic. Former head coach Rex Ryan — who led the franchise to back-to-back AFC Championship games — is a frequent guest on the show too. Rodgers has been getting a lot of screen time on the World Wide Leader and rightfully so. He’s one of the biggest stories of the year, injury or no injury.

Unfortunately for Jets fans, Zach Wilson will have to do for now. He has replaced Rodgers for the time being and will be looking to get a win against the Bills.
