Mike McDaniel on NFL, NFLPA Tua Tagovailoa investigation: 'We don't have anything to hide'
As the NFL and NFLPA continue their investigation into the Miami Dolphins' decision to allow quarterback Tua Tagovailoa play in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team's head coach addressed the matter on Monday afternoon.
The first-year head coach also ruled out Tagovailoa for Week 5 against the New York Jets and named Teddy Bridgewater the starter. McDaniel noted that it's still too early to give a definitive timeline for the Alabama product's return.
With the investigation ongoing, the NFLPA made a big move on Saturday, terminating the contract of the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant (UNC) involved in clearing the quarterback in Miami's Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens.
