The Buffalo Bills have an important offseason ahead of them as they look to extend their Super Bowl window. With the uncertainty of star receiver Stefon Diggs’ future in Western New York and the impending free agency of vertical threat Gabe Davis, Buffalo is surely looking to address their group of pass catchers in the coming months.
That pressing need has followed them down to Mobile, Alabama for the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The all-star event allows teams to gather practice film, measurements, and interviews with prospects that could command a draft pick come April.
One such prospect, Georgia Bulldogs receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, is an intriguing late-round option for the Bills to consider. During his time at the Senior Bowl, he gave some reason to believe that Buffalo would be appealing.
“I like the Bills,” Rosemy-Jacksaint told Ajay Cybulski. “I like Josh Allen. I like Stefon Diggs. I like my boys over there, like you said, James Cook. It’s all part of the vibe with the Bills."
Buffalo may not be able to promise that Diggs will return in 2024, but vacated snaps at receiver and incredible quarterback play seem like locks.
It’s also no surprise that Cook came to mind. The two were teammates from 2020–21 when the Bulldogs won the first of their back-to-back national championships.
In his senior season, Rosemy-Jacksaint caught 34 passes for 535 yards and four scores – his most productive collegiate campaign.
Currently projected to be a Day 3 pick, it may be ambitious to pencil him in as a starter, but at 6-2, he offers the frame to be a bigger-bodied threat for Allen. He’s at his best when he’s asked to make contested catches and continued to prove that during the week’s Senior Bowl prospects. Rosemy-Jacksaint is a late separator who could comfortably be a depth target for Buffalo, with the potential to take most of the snaps that Davis will (presumably) leave.
If the Bills decide to go elsewhere at the top of the NFL Draft, their limited budget in free agency, a late-round target with SEC pedigree may be their preferred route.
