Welcome to the NFL's version of March Madness, better known as the free agency period. Teams looking to improve their rosters will begin the mad rush to attract potential talent identified as fits for their rosters, and a lot of money is about to be thrown around.

The New York Giants, who have some significant roster holes to address, are expected to be active in free agency, retaining some of their own and drawing outside help.

However, it's not expected that general manager Joe Schoen will blow open the vault doors and spend like an out-of-control shopper during a post-holiday sale. The focus will instead be on adding value and talent to help a Giants team that finished 6-11 last year get back on the right track.
