The New York Giants are set to sign a former Denver Broncos quarter for the 2024 season. The Giants needed to make a move at quarterback after they lost Tyrod Taylor this offseason. Per reports Monday night, the New York Jets are set to sign Taylor as Aaron Rodgers’ backup.

The New York Giants needed a QB2

With starting quarterback Daniel Jones rehabbing from an ACL injury he suffered during the 2023 season, the Giants knew they needed to add help in the quarterback room. There is speculation the Giants could take a quarterback in the first round of April’s draft.

Drew Lock agreed to a deal with the Giants

Per Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Giants are set to sign former Denver Broncos starting quarterback Drew Lock on a one-year deal worth $5 million.

Lock was drafted by the Denver Broncos

The Broncos drafted Lock in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Lock spent the previous two seasons as Geno Smith’s backup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Lock has thrown for 5,283 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions in his four-year NFL career.
