NFLPA President JC Tretter: Tua Tagovailoa displayed 'no-go' symptoms vs. Bills and Bengals
NFLPA President JC Tretter released a statement Friday afternoon regarding the ongoing situation surrounding the Miami Dolphins and their franchise quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. Tretter announced his retirement as a player following an eight-year career in August, after being re-elected for a second term as president in March.
Tretter's statement comes after it was reported Friday morning that the NFLPA was going to "pursue every legal option" in their investigation as to whether Tagovailoa should've been allowed to play on Thursday. The Alabama product went down with his second serious injury in less than one week on Thursday, after he was sacked in the second quarter and his helmet was slammed hard to the turf.
After approximately 10 minutes on the field, Tagovailoa was stretchered off and taken to Cincinnati Medical Center in an ambulance. He has since been discharged from the hospital and ended up flying home with his teammates.
