Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa taken to hospital after scary hit on 'TNF'

Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was carted off the field and taken to a local hospital via ambulance after a vicious hit in the 'Thursday Night Football' matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals.

Tagovailoa was rag-doll sacked by Cincinnati defensive lineman Josh Tupou with 5:49 to go in the second quarter.

Though the sack was clean, Tagovailoa was whipped around and fell directly on the back of his head and neck. He immediately seized up, as evident by his stiff arms and fingers.

ESPN reports that Tagovailoa laid on the field for roughly 10 minutes before being taken off via stretcher and ultimately taken to Cincinnati Medical Center via ambulance.

The Dolphins did have good news to report, but any official prognosis for Tagovailoa is still pending.

Notably, Tagovailoa left in the first half of last weekend's game against the Buffalo Bills after taking a hit and coming up apparently dizzy and stumbling, but he was cleared and returned in the second half.
